HF Group Kenya pioneers WhatsApp banking; secured by Myriad Connect
With mobile payment volumes and transaction values soaring in Kenya, HF Group has innovated in this space by becoming the first bank in the region to launch a banking service on the WhatsApp platform this week.
Mobile payments are well-established in Kenya, with Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) data showing that mobile money transactions stood at KES3.98 trillion ($38.5 billion) last year, 10% up on 2017 and now equivalent to nearly half the country’s gross domestic product (GDP).
HF Group Kenya, already the winner of multiple awards for product innovation, aims to be the leading integrated solutions enabler for the property industry, and has again moved to innovate in this space by launching a new WhatsApp banking service.
